SchoolHouse Kitchen is proud to announce that SchoolHouse Kitchen's™ Bardshar Chutney was named a Silver Medal Finalist for the 2008 National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NASFT) sofi™ Awards. There were close to 1,500 submissions from around the world in 32 categories for this year's sofi™ Awards, and SchoolHouse Kitchen's™ Bardshar Chutney was one of five finalists picked in the Outstanding Condiment category. The next and final round of judging to determine the sofi™ Gold winner will be Sunday, June 29th at the NASFT's Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City.

The NASFT is the premier trade association for specialty and gourmet food; its international members include manufacturers, markets, distributors and publications. SchoolHouse Kitchen President Wendy W. Smith noted proudly, " have always known that my mother's recipes are fantastic, and it feels really good when I see peoples' excited reactions when they taste our products, but having our Bardshar Chutney honored as a Silver Medal Finalist by the NASFT is truly another level of recognition."

Beginning in her own kitchen in upstate New York, SchoolHouse Kitchen founder Patsy Smith set out to create an outstanding line of all-natural, gourmet products with the mission to support educational causes and programs.
